The Mirror of Us

When I found you, the world split

open,

A rush of light, a flood of gold.

In your eyes, I saw my home,

A story the universe had long foretold.

Your touch was fire, yet it didn't

burn,

It warmed the corners I'd left cold.

Every word you spoke was a

melody,

A truth I'd somehow always

known.

Time bent for us, as if it knew

We'd waited lifetimes to collide.

Your laughter wove into my

silence,

Your heartbeat merged with mine

inside.

With you. the world was

boundless,

Every shadow bathed in light.

The stars danced closer to the

earth,

The moon sang louder in the night.

You saw me - every crack, each

scar,

And loved the jagged parts of me.

I stood in awe of the mirror you

held,

Where my soul could finally see.

But mirrors do more than reflect

the good;

They show the wounds we hide.

And when I gazed too deeply in

yours,

I saw my shadows magnified.

You stirred the ghosts I thought

had gone,

The fears I buried deep.

Your love unearthed the parts of

me

That pain had taught to keep.

And in you, I saw the same raw

edges,

The struggles you tried to deny.

Our flames would burn so fiercely

That sometimes we scorched the

sky.

We fought in echoes of old battles,

Our souls reliving past mistakes.

The beauty turned to aching

storms,

A dance of fire and heartbreak.

Yet even in chaos, we were

one -

Two halves of the same divine

whole.

Through the storms, we forged

each other,

Like fire refining molten gold.

For twin flames are not for the faint

of heart,

Their purpose isn't just ease.

They tear us open to heal the

wounds

And bring us to our knees.

Still, I'd choose you in every

lifetime,

Through every trial, every tear.

For loving you is the purest truth -

The universe's voice made clear.

I'll always hold your hand through the

fire,

Through the struggles, storms,

and strain.

For in your light and your darkness

too,

I see the beauty in my pain.
